| Home If your dog is lost or you find a lost dog, report it to Animal Control. You can always bail the dog out yourself if the owner doesn't show up. Dogs who are lost might have a microchip so be sure to have either animal control or a veterinarian scan them with a universal scanner (there are two different brands of microchips and scanners will not read both) to determine ownership of a microchipped dog that is not wearing tags.
